Following an impressive bowling performance against Australia in the series, Indian bowler Ravi Bishnoi is delighted to have become the number one bowler in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings. In response, the BCCI has released a video featuring Bishnoi expressing his feelings. The young Indian spinner, who was named Player of the Series after India’s 4-1 victory against Australia in the T20 series post the World Cup, shared that he never dreamed of becoming the number one bowler but will now strive to maintain that position.
Sports Desk, New Delhi. BCCI shared a video of Ravi Bishnoi: Recently crowned the number one bowler in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings, young Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi is still processing the achievement.
Player of the Series Bishnoi- After India’s 4-1 victory against Australia in the T20 series following the World Cup, Bishnoi was awarded the Player of the Series. Debuting against the West Indies in February 2022, he has taken a total of 34 wickets in 21 T20 matches.
BCCI posted the video- In a video posted by BCCI, Bishnoi said, “It’s a special feeling. I never thought of becoming the number one bowler even in my dreams, but now that I am here, it feels good. I hope to continue this performance and help the team win.”

Opportunity in the Asia Cup- Bishnoi further stated, “I made my debut on February 15, and there have been ups and downs in this journey, but the past 1-1.5 years have been good because I got a chance to play some good matches. During this period, I played in the Asian Games and also in the Asia Cup.”
Fruit of Hard Work- Bishnoi added, “I have been given opportunities, and when I get opportunities, I hope to play well. This is the result of five years of hard work. So far, everything has been good, and I am enjoying it.”
Becoming the number one bowler is not surprising for Bishnoi.
Came into the limelight in 2020- Bishnoi first caught people’s attention during the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup in 2020 in South Africa. He attracted everyone by taking the most wickets in the tournament, surpassing any other player with 17 wickets, and India finished as runners-up after Bangladesh.
