Advocate Randhirsingh Thakur explained that Vinod Chauhan and his associate Mahendrapal worked as contractors in a construction company. On December 8, 2019, both were traveling from Guna to Bhopal in their van along with their driver. In the Bairasia area, a high-speed bus collided with their van. In this accident, Vinod Chauhan lost his life, while Mahendrapal was seriously injured. In this case, Vinod Chauhan’s wife, daughters, and Mahendrapal had filed a compensation claim in court. The Additional District Judge B.R. Yadav’s court found the bus driver guilty. At the same time, the bus insurance company, New India Insurance Company, was ordered to deposit INR 7 million, including interest, to the victims.
