In a conversation with lyricist Chandra Bose and MM Keeravani, Nagarjuna mentioned that he was supposed to depart for the Maldives on January 17.
New Delhi: Nagarjuna has canceled his Maldives vacation. He states that it is not right. While promoting his film ‘Na Sami Ranga’ in an interview with lyricist Chandra Bose and MM Keeravani, Nagarjuna praised the beauty of Bangaram Island in Lakshadweep. The Bollywood superstar Nagarjuna had recently shared that he had planned to go to the Maldives for a vacation with his family after the release of ‘Na Sami Ranga.’ However, following the Maldives-Lakshadweep controversy, he decided to cancel the tickets and planned to visit Bangaram Island instead.
In a conversation with lyricist Chandra Bose and MM Keeravani, Nagarjuna revealed that he was supposed to depart for the Maldives on January 17. “I have been working continuously for 75 days without a break for Bigg Boss and the release of ‘Na Sami Ranga.’ Now that I have some time, I have canceled my tickets and am planning to go to Lakshadweep next week.”
Nagarjuna explained, “I did not cancel it out of fear or for any reason. I canceled the ticket because it is not right. Whatever has been said or stated is not entirely correct. He is our Prime Minister, leading 1.5 billion people. He is the leader of 1.5 billion people, and what he (the ministers of the Maldives) did is not right.” He said, “He has to face the consequences. Every action has a reaction.” He praised Bangaram Island in Lakshadweep and jokingly suggested the idea of planning a trip for MM Keeravani as well.
Talking about work, Nagarjuna’s 99th film ‘Na Sami Ranga’ was released in theaters on January 14. The film, directed by choreographer Vijay Benny, has received positive responses from both critics and the audience. ‘Na Sami Ranga’ is said to be the official Telugu remake of the 2019 Malayalam film ‘Porinju Mariam Jose,’ written and directed by Joshi.
