Bemetara: On the last day of election campaigning today, Central Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public gathering in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday. Criticizing Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from the stage, Shah stated that under his rule, Bemetara district in Chhattisgarh has become the center of ‘love jihad.’ Shah promised that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in the state, no one will dare to engage in such activities.
Addressing an election rally in the Saja constituency of Bemetara district in Chhattisgarh, Shah accused Baghel of transforming the Durg division’s education center into a hub of corruption. The BJP has fielded Ishwar Sahu from the Saja seat. Ishwar Sahu’s son, Bhuneshwar Sahu, was tragically killed during a communal clash in Biranpur village of the district in April this year. Speaking at the gathering, Shah said, “Ishwar Sahu is not just a candidate; he is a symbol of the fight for justice. Under Bhupesh Baghel’s rule, communal elements beat Bhuneshwar Sahu to death. Bhuneshwar’s family was offered checks and job offers, asking them not to seek justice. But I want to thank Ishwar Ji for rejecting those offers and demanding justice.”
The Central Home Minister stated, “Ensuring justice for Bhuneshwar Sahu is our responsibility. No one will be allowed to violate the law. Every murderer of Bhuneshwar Sahu will be sent to jail. The countdown to Bhupesh Baghel’s exit from power has begun.” Shah urged the voters not only to bring the BJP to power in the state but also to ensure justice for Bhuneshwar Sahu and teach a lesson to the politics of appeasement. Criticizing the Congress government, Shah said, “Under Bhupesh Baghel’s rule, Bemetara has become the center of love jihad. The Sahu, Kurmi, and Gond communities were targeted, and Bhupesh Baghel’s government remained silent. Who will awaken them? You will, with your votes. I promise that if you bring the BJP to power, no one will dare to indulge in such activities.”
Targeting Chief Minister Baghel over the alleged Mahadev Satta Bazaar app scam, Shah said, “Bhupesh Baghel has ruined the Durg division. During the BJP government led by Raman Singh, the Durg division had become an educational center. Bhupesh Baghel has turned it into a hub of corruption.” Shah further stated, “Baghel Ji should have named the app after himself. Why did he use the name Mahadev? When Modi Ji sent Chandrayaan to the moon, he named the place where it landed ‘Shiv Shakti,’ expressing devotion to Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti. But Bhupesh Baghel named a gambling app after Mahadev and insulted him.” Shah warned that if, by mistake, Bhupesh Baghel returns to power, he won’t be able to take the name of Mahadev because Baghel fears the police will come after him. Shah accused Baghel of involving youth in the gambling business and committing sins. Criticizing the Congress government for corruption, Shah targeted Baghel, saying, “Baghel has turned Chhattisgarh into the ‘ATM’ of Congress.”
