In response to increasing passenger demand, another Vande Bharat Express train is now set to run on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central route. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bharat Express on this busy route. According to Western Railway (WR), Modi will unveil the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Superfast Train and also flag off the extension of the Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Okha via video conferencing at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Officials have stated that the booking for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express will start today for passenger reservations through the counter and the IRCTC website.
Common passengers will be able to travel from March 13
According to reports, ordinary passengers can travel on this train from March 13. The superfast train will include air-conditioned chair cars (Kurkians) and executive chair coaches. It will cover a distance of over 500 kilometers between the two cities in less than six hours. This will be the second Vande Bharat Express between the two commercial centers. The first Vande Bharat train between the two cities was started in 2022.
Know the timings
According to reports, the 22962 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 6.10 a.m. every day except Sunday and will arrive at Mumbai Central at 11.35 a.m. on the same day. Similarly, the 22961 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 3.55 p.m. every day except Sunday and will arrive in Ahmedabad at 9.25 p.m. on the same day.
The Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Superfast Express is being extended to Okha Station. From March 13, the 22925 Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Superfast Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 6.10 p.m. every evening and will arrive at Okha at 12.40 a.m. on the same night.
What is the current fare?
The current fare for chair cars on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central route in the running Vande Bharat Express train is Rs. 1365, while the fare for executive class is Rs. 2485.
