Samsung is gearing up to reveal its Galaxy S24 series smartphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose. The event, scheduled for tomorrow, will introduce the Galaxy S24 series, featuring enhanced capabilities powered by Galaxy AI. Alongside the smartphones, Samsung is anticipated to launch the Galaxy Fit3, an economical fitness tracker, and the next-generation Galaxy Buds.
Set to take place at SAP Center in San Jose, California, the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event will be live-streamed on Samsung’s official YouTube channel, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). The event kicks off at 1 PM EST in the US and 11:30 PM IST in India. Users can also watch it on Samsung’s website, where they can register and stand a chance to win a Rs 5,000 voucher for Samsung product purchases. Additionally, users can pre-reserve the Galaxy S24 series by paying Rs 1,999.
Key Highlights of the Galaxy S24 Series: The Galaxy S24 series includes three models: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Reports suggest that the Galaxy S24 may not bring substantial upgrades, primarily focusing on the processor and performance improvements. The Galaxy S24+ is expected to feature a notable upgrade with a large 2K resolution screen and a larger battery. Both variants are likely to be powered by the Exynos 2400, particularly in India.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be Samsung’s first smartphone with a titanium frame, resembling the iPhone 15 Pro series. Departing from the curved display, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will sport a flat screen, a first for Samsung’s “Ultra” series.
Samsung’s reputation for cutting-edge hardware is expected to continue, with the Galaxy S24 series anticipated to introduce new Galaxy AI features. These features are likely to impact camera performance, on-device live translation, overall device performance, and other aspects. All three models are expected to ship with Android 14-based OneUI 6.1, featuring generative AI capabilities.
In addition to the smartphones, Samsung is poised to unveil the Galaxy Fit3, an affordable fitness tracker, and next-gen wireless earbuds during the event.
