The portrait caught the prime minister’s eye during an election rally in Kanker, leading to a heartwarming gesture.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a letter to a young girl who had crafted a portrait of him and presented it during an election gathering in Kanker, Chhattisgarh.
In his letter to Akansha Thakur, a schoolgirl, Modi acknowledged the received portrait and expressed his gratitude for her thoughtful gesture.
Modi conveyed, “The daughters of India represent the nation’s bright future. The affection and sense of belonging that I receive from all of you are my pillars of strength in serving our country. Our objective has always been to construct a healthy, secure, and well-equipped nation for our daughters.”
Modi emphasized that he has consistently felt the warmth and support of the people of Chhattisgarh, commending their active involvement in the nation’s progress and development.
Furthermore, he stressed the significance of the next 25 years for the younger generation in the country, noting that this period would define their aspirations and shape the nation’s future.
Modi concluded his letter with well wishes, saying, “May you advance with remarkable success and bring honor to your family, community, and nation through your accomplishments. Best wishes for your future.”
Thakur’s portrait had captured the prime minister’s attention during the election rally in Kanker. In a touching moment during his speech, he had requested Thakur to provide her address on the back of the sketch and promised to send her a letter.
Reflecting on this, Thakur shared with ANI after the rally on November 2, “Everyone was saying that PM Modi will be coming here. I created a sketch for him, and he mentioned that he would write a letter to me…”
