Manjinder Singh Sirsa claims that CM Arvind Kejriwal, instead of controlling pollution, is shutting down schools and imposing the odd-even scheme on people.
Delhi Politics: Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal is now facing ED’s notice in the pollution and alleged liquor scam case. Both opposition parties in Delhi, BJP and Congress, have adopted an aggressive stance against CM Kejriwal and the AAP. In this series, former BJP National Secretary and ex-MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa has launched a scathing attack on CM Kejriwal, making several allegations against him.
Seeking relief for the public in exchange for combating pollution
In a statement released on social media platform X, Sirsa accused CM Kejriwal of remaining silent on the highest levels of pollution in Delhi over the past six days. He has questioned all the decisions of the Delhi government, including the implementation of the odd-even scheme, closing schools, and imposing a ban on construction activities. He asserts that people are suffering from toxic air, causing various health issues, affecting children and the elderly the most. Instead of controlling pollution, schools are being shut down. He also criticized the Delhi government’s decision to halt construction activities related to development projects and is now imposing troublesome and outdated formulas like the odd-even scheme on the people.
Focusing on making Kejriwal’s wife the CM
Sirsa further alleges that Kejriwal previously justified burning stubble in Punjab as the cause of Delhi’s pollution. Now that his government is in Punjab, he is shifting the blame to farmers in Haryana and UP. However, he is not doing anything to relieve Delhi from pollution. Sirsa claims that Kejriwal is avoiding his responsibilities and focusing on elections in other states and trying to make his wife the Chief Minister. This is why he is neglecting the concerns of the people of Delhi and paying more attention to other matters. Sirsa accuses Kejriwal of jeopardizing the future of Delhi’s school children and traveling to other states to avoid accountability while facing arrest in the liquor scam.
