Mannara Chopra shared insights into her experience on Bigg Boss 17, where she clinched the third position, with Munawar Faruqui emerging as the victor. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mannara delved into her familial ties with renowned actors Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, shedding light on why she refrained from discussing them during her stint on the reality show.
Expressing her perspective, Mannara disclosed her reluctance to capitalize on her familial connections. Despite her co-contestants frequently mentioning Priyanka and Parineeti, Mannara chose not to, citing her desire to be recognized for her individuality rather than riding on her family’s fame.
Mannara emphasized, “My principle in life is that I don’t like to leverage my identity through someone else. When people began discussing it, I questioned why they were bringing up my family. I was invited to the Bigg Boss platform because they appreciated my personality and wanted me there as Mannara. So, I wanted the focus to be on me—my films, my journey. I preferred engaging in conversations and debates based on my own merit.”
Elaborating further, Mannara stressed the importance of respecting her family members’ privacy and autonomy, highlighting that they too have their distinct lives and commitments. She voiced her concern against appearing ostentatious or self-centered, opting instead to maintain authenticity and integrity.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss 17, hosted by Salman Khan, aired on January 28, 2024. Alongside Mannara, other top 5 finalists included Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, and Arun Mashetty, with Munawar emerging as the ultimate winner. Mannara, known for her roles in films like Zid, Thikka, and Rogue, captured attention with her unique persona and unwavering principles throughout her journey on the show.
