BJP leader Rajendra Singh Rathore has conveyed his confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) winning 135 seats in the Rajasthan polls, anticipating one of the most significant victories in the state.
Rathore, the former Leader of Opposition in the outgoing assembly, criticized the Congress, particularly Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s assertion of an “undercurrent” in favor of the Congress.
“Gehlot Shahib was right when he said that there is an undercurrent. It is 440 volts. The undercurrent he is talking about will shock Congress,” alleged Rathore.
He emphasized that people were unimpressed by the guarantees made by the Congress government, leading to a collective decision to remove the party from power in the state.
“The Congress is on the path to a humiliating defeat. Based on ground reports, the BJP is expected to secure over 135 seats in the elections, marking one of the most significant victories,” stated Rathore.
Voting, with over 74% voter turnout, took place in Rajasthan on Saturday. Polling was conducted in 199 out of 200 seats in the state, as the election on one seat was deferred due to the unfortunate demise of a candidate.
