“I consider myself fortunate that Kiran came into my life, and our journey has been incredibly fulfilling,” expressed Aamir Khan.
Kiran Rao is gearing up for her directorial comeback with “Laapataa Ladies,” a film co-produced by her former husband, superstar Aamir Khan. In a recent conversation with News18, Aamir Khan openly shared his sentiments about collaborating with Kiran post their divorce. He remarked, “Has any doctor said that if you get divorced, you instantly become enemies? I consider myself fortunate that Kiran came into my life, and our journey has been incredibly fulfilling.”
Aamir Khan continued, emphasizing the deep bond they share: “We have created a lot together, both personally and professionally, and we will continue to be together in the future. We’re connected on a human and emotional level, and that bond will always remain. We are like a family.” Kiran Rao was also part of the wedding festivities of Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan last month.
Their journey began when Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao first met on the sets of “Lagaan,” where Aamir led the movie and Kiran worked as an assistant director. They tied the knot in 2005 and welcomed their son Azad in 2011. However, after 15 years together, the couple announced their separation in July 2021. Despite this, they remain devoted parents to their son Azad, committed collaborators on various projects, including films like “Dhobi Ghat,” “Delhi Belly,” and “Dangal,” as well as initiatives like the Paani Foundation.
Their upcoming movie, “Laapataa Ladies,” is set to release on March 1, showcasing their continued partnership and shared commitment to their creative endeavors.
