Vinayakan, the actor known for ‘Jailer,’ was taken into custody on Tuesday following an incident at a police station in Ernakulam. According to officials, he was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance while being summoned by the police to address a dispute with his wife at his apartment.
The actor was detained for creating a disturbance at the police station, confirmed a senior police officer. Subsequently, Vinayakan was transported to a nearby hospital for a required medical examination. Following standard procedures, the police later released him on bail.
During his departure from the hospital with the police after the medical examination, Vinayakan expressed his lack of awareness regarding the reasons behind his arrest. When questioned about the cause of his detention, he responded, “I came to file a complaint. Please ask the police why I was brought here (hospital).” An accompanying police official informed reporters that Vinayakan had been apprehended for causing a disturbance at the police station while allegedly in an inebriated state.
The official also revealed that earlier that day, police had been called to Vinayakan’s apartment by the actor to address certain issues involving his wife.
