A comprehensive budget aimed at promoting the overall development of Uttar Pradesh will be introduced in the legislative assembly on Thursday, as announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Prior to its presentation in the assembly, the budget underwent approval during a cabinet meeting convened by the chief minister at his official residence earlier in the day.
In a Hindi tweet, Adityanath remarked, “Today, a public welfare budget focused on the holistic progress of Uttar Pradesh will be presented in the assembly. Drawing inspiration from our esteemed Prime Minister, the BJP-led government’s dual-engine effort is tirelessly striving to transform Uttar Pradesh into a driving force for national growth.”
Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna affirmed that the budget is designed to prioritize the well-being of the populace, aligning with the principles outlined in the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ (election manifesto). Khanna is scheduled to present the state budget in the assembly later in the day.
In the previous fiscal year 2021-22, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath administration had unveiled a budget totaling Rs 5,50,270.78 crore.
