Vivek Ramaswamy expressed his discontent with the disclosure of Jeffrey Epstein documents during a speech at a Town Hall event in Harrison County. In his critique of the government’s handling of the information, Ramaswamy questioned the decision to release a redacted list instead of providing the complete and unedited details. He emphasized the importance of transparency, stating, “Just give us the full list, give the full footage of what happened inside and outside the prison,” particularly regarding the circumstances of Epstein’s suicide.
Ramaswamy argued that the public deserves a government that truthfully communicates information and urged for transparency without redactions. He criticized the government for what he perceived as systematic deception and pledged that, if elected as the US president, he would prioritize honesty, even when faced with difficult or unpleasant truths. Ramaswamy asserted that such transparency is crucial for rebuilding trust in the country.
Regarding the released Jeffrey Epstein list, Ramaswamy highlighted the inclusion of prominent names like Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and Michael Jackson. He noted that the list, initially identified as J Doe in court papers, was part of accuser Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell. Ramaswamy clarified that not every individual named in the list is accused of wrongdoing, as it encompasses sex abuse victims, litigation witnesses, Epstein’s employees, and individuals tangentially connected to the scandal, with some names redacted.
