New Delhi: With the conclusion of elections in five states, there has been an immediate increase of Rs 21 in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have implemented these adjustments, leading to the new price for a 19-kg cylinder in Delhi being Rs 1797.50.
Let’s take a look at the updated prices for 19-kg LPG cylinders in various cities:
Chennai: Rs 1,968.5 Kolkata: Rs 1,908 Mumbai: Rs 1,749
The positive aspect is that the impact on household budgets will be minimal as there is no hike in the prices of domestic cylinders. Currently, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 820.
Furthermore, the government extends an LPG subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder to Ujjwala beneficiaries, allowing them up to 12 refills annually.
