The entrance of Lord Rama’s idol into the temple marks the consecration for the Ram Mandir. Today, Lord Rama will be seated on the throne, and divine rituals of Jaladhivas and Gandhadhivas will take place. Additionally, around 20 types of ceremonies are scheduled for today.
After a wait of 550 years, the moment that millions of Rama devotees have been anticipating has finally arrived. With chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” the divine entry of Lord Rama’s idol into the Ram Mandir has taken place. Today, Lord Rama will be seated on the throne, and divine rituals of Jaladhivas and Gandhadhivas will take place. Around 20 different ceremonies are planned for today. The auspicious time for these rituals is from 1:00 PM to 1:28 PM.
Before the idol’s entry into the temple, on Wednesday night, with the help of a crane, Lord Rama’s statue was unloaded from the truck and brought to the temple doorstep. Subsequently, using a mini-crane, Lord Rama was taken inside the temple. Today, the idol will be consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum. Lord Rama will be enshrined at the same spot where he has been revered for centuries. The throne of Lord Rama is 3.4 feet high, crafted from Makrana marble.
The entire history of the Ram Mandir has been inscribed on copper plates, placed beneath the foundation of the temple. The foundation of the temple also includes a pure copper pipe, running hundreds of feet from the sanctum sanctorum to the base. This pipe, filled with gold and silver coins, will secure the wealth for Lord Rama’s temple for centuries.
The divine consecration ceremony: The main patron of the divine consecration of Lord Rama’s idol is Prime Minister Modi. He himself is observing an 11-day ritual conducted by the acharyas. On the other hand, representing Prime Minister Modi as a delegate, Dr. Anil Mishra is completing all the ceremonial procedures. On the third day of the divine consecration, the ritual begins with a resolution at 1:20 PM, followed by Ganesham bikapuja, Varunapuja, Chaturvedokta Punyahavachan, Matrikapuja, Vasordharapuja, Ayushyamantrajap, Nandishraddha, Acharyadichiratvigvaran, Madhuparkapuja, Mandapaparvesh, Prithvi, Kurma, Anantapuja, Varaha-Yajnabhumi-Puja, Digrarakshan, Panchgavya-Prokshan, Mandapa-Vastupuja, Vastu Balidan, Mandapa-Sutraveshthan, Dugdh-Dhara, Jaladharakaran, Shodashastambhapuja, and Mandapapuja.
121 acharyas will perform the Jaladhivas of Lord Rama’s idol today. On the second day of the consecration, a symbolic idol of Lord Rama was taken on a procession within the temple premises. The idol, adorned with flowers in a palanquin, was paraded with grandeur throughout the complex. The divine consecration of Lord Rama’s idol has not only captivated Ayodhya but the entire nation, with the people eagerly awaiting the divine moment of witnessing Lord Rama’s idol on January 22.
On January 22, more than 400 saints and sadhus are expected to be present at the moment of Lord Rama’s divine darshan, along with numerous renowned personalities from across the country. The entire nation is looking forward to the auspicious moment on January 22 when the divine presence of Lord Rama will be felt.
