Weather Alert for MP, UP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh: There is a possibility of light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh from December 31 to January 2, 2024.
New Delhi Agency. While the complete planning for New Year’s celebrations has been done, the weather department anticipates that rain might pose a hindrance. The IMD has forecasted rain in several states in its latest report.
Currently, there is dense fog in most northern states, including Delhi-NCR, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The weather department states that these conditions will persist until January 2.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) report, there is a likelihood of heavy rain in several states in the next 3-4 days. There is a possibility of light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh from December 31 to January 2, 2024. Similarly, there is a chance of rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and eastern Rajasthan in the next 2-3 days. The IMD has predicted light to moderate rain in southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala from December 31 to January 3, 2024. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in the southern part of Tamil Nadu on December 31 and January 1, 2024.
No Respite from Fog Until January 2: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has estimated that dense to very dense fog will persist in northern Indian states until January 2. A forecast has been made for a cold day in parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi have issued a red alert for fog today and an orange alert for tomorrow. Punjab has also been issued an orange alert for December 31. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for fog in northern Indian states until January 2.
