The Honor Magic Vs 2 foldable phone recently made an appearance on China’s 3C certification website. This foldable device is expected to succeed the Honor Magic Vs, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, Spain back in February. Honor has now officially revealed the launch date for the Honor Magic Vs 2, along with the confirmation of the release of the Honor Watch 4 Pro on the same day. It’s worth noting that the Honor Watch 4, previously launched in China in July, might soon make its way to the Indian market.
As per an announcement posted on Weibo by Honor, the Honor Magic Vs 2 and the Honor Watch 4 Pro are scheduled to launch in China on October 12. While the company hasn’t disclosed further details regarding these products or their global release, we can expect more information to emerge as we approach the launch date.
In a recent Geekbench listing, an Honor device with the model number VER-AN00, speculated to be the Magic Vs 2, was spotted sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 16GB of RAM. An earlier 3C certification website listing had also featured the phone with a similar model number, VCA-AN00, and it’s expected to run on Android 13.
A teaser image shared by Honor hints at the Magic Vs 2 featuring a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. Additionally, the phone may include a secondary 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens and an 8-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, similar to its predecessor, the Honor Magic Vs. The company claims that the Magic Vs 2 will be thinner and lighter compared to the previous model.
Meanwhile, the Honor Watch 4 Pro is anticipated to offer a blend of “classic and technological” elements, as per the translation from Chinese. This will complement the existing Watch 4 model, which might soon be available in the Indian market.
