Bank of India has introduced the Nari Shakti Savings Account, a specialized savings bank product designed for women aged 18 and above with an independent source of income. This initiative aims to empower working women, fostering self-reliance and providing a higher level of financial freedom, according to the Public Sector Bank.
The Nari Shakti Savings Account offers a range of privileges and features, including a Personal Accident Insurance cover of up to Rs 1 crore, discounted Health Insurance & Wellness products, attractive rebates on locker facilities for Gold & Diamond SB A/C holders, and complimentary facilities for Platinum SB A/C holders, as stated by BOI.
Furthermore, the account provides benefits such as a concessional rate of interest on Retail Loans, a waiver of processing charges on Retail Loans, free issuance of Credit Cards, and an increased usage limit of up to Rs 5 lakh on POS.
For each new Nari Shakti Account opened, Bank of India will contribute Rs. 10/- towards the CSR fund. This fund will be utilized for the socio-economic development of underprivileged women and the girl child.
The Nari Shakti Savings Account is accessible at all 5132 domestic branches and through digital platforms, making it convenient for women to take advantage of the financial opportunities and benefits provided by this account.
