Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Limited (DRPPL) has enlisted the expertise of architect Hafeez Contractor, renowned design firm Sasaki, and consultancy firm Buro Happold to formulate the master plan for Dharavi’s redevelopment. Hafeez Contractor has extensive experience in Mumbai’s housing and Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) projects, while Sasaki, a US-based interdisciplinary design firm, and Buro Happold, a UK-based consultancy firm in urban planning and infrastructure engineering, bring global perspectives. The project aims to enhance the residents’ quality of life while preserving Dharavi’s vibrant culture. Additionally, experts from Singapore’s Housing Development Board, known for its work on 1.2 million homes, will contribute to the project. Adani Realty secured the bid for Dharavi’s redevelopment, marking a significant step after a decade-long wait.
