Assistance Provided to 59 Lakh People
You should be aware that the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has shared this information through its official Twitter handle, revealing that until April 30, 2022, the government has provided assistance to a total of 58.76 lakh people under this scheme. In this process, the government has incurred expenses totaling Rs 4,920.67 crores. Approximately 1,47,335 organizations have been included in this initiative.
Government Deposits Funds in EPFO through the Scheme
Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana, the government contributes 12% of the salary to the EPF accounts of employees earning less than Rs 15,000 per month. However, it is essential for companies to be registered with EPFO to avail of the benefits of this scheme. Additionally, companies should have at least 50 or more employees to facilitate the process of offering new job opportunities.
